Maritime energy solutions

Intercel recognizes the need for dependable energy solutions onboard maritime vessels, and our expertise enables us to construct 230 VAC maritime energy systems according to our clients’ wishes. The advantages of using a maritime energy solution cannot be overstated; it allows users to connect every appliance they would use at home, ranging from microwaves to hairdryers and from DVD players to power tools. Intercel's maritime energy inverter effortlessly transforms DC battery power into 230 VAC, ensuring that your boat is as comfortable as your home. Besides added comfort, using such a system also saves you the cost of adapting equipment to DC power. Intercel is more than happy to assemble the combination of batteries, battery chargers, battery accessories and converters that best meet your maritime needs.

Galvanic isolator

When your boat is docked in a harbor or marina, is usually connected to a 230 V power supply onshore. In these situations, the connection is usually linked via a grounding wire to the metal components of your boat such as your hull, sacrificial anode or engine. In the event of a short circuit the residual current circuit breaker will disengage the connection, thereby guaranteeing your safety. One major disadvantage of this system, however, is that your boat is connected to the other boats in the harbor. The potential difference between the metal components of the various boats leads to corrosion of these metal surfaces. To solve this problem, Intercel supplies corrosion-stopping galvanic isolators. These small and easily installed products are by far the cheapest option to prevent corrosion of your boat’s hull.
