Of all Lithium batteries, the LiFePO4 battery (lithium iron phosphate) is most widely used in modern applications, such as laptops and smartphones. Light in weight, but a real heavyweight when it comes to the number of discharges and delivering high currents. Lithium batteries are available in different chemical compositions. Besides LiFePO4 (iron-phosphate) batteries, there are Lithium-ion, Lithium-polymer and other Lithium batteries.

Custom-made LiFePO4 Lithium batteries

Lithium Iron Phosphate is the battery technology of the future. This technology is particularly suited for electric vehicles such as e-scooters and golf carts, and other applications where light weight, high currents and a large number of cycles are critical. For cyclic applications, where batteries are regularly discharged, Intercel can supply custom-made LiFePO4 lithium battery solutions. For these projects, Intercel designs and builds the required LiFePO4 lithium battery pack to your specifications.

Lighter and safer LiFePO4 batteries

Compared to AGM battery cells, LiFePO4 battery cells achieve approximately five times as many cycles. In addition, LiFePO4 lithium battery cells are safer to use than Lithium-ion and lithium polymer cells and about 60% lighter than traditional lead-acid batteries.

On average, Lithium batteries weigh 60% less than traditional lead-acid batteries.
